PrimeCare recognized for highest quality for 3rd consecutive year!
March 17, 2007

PrimeCare Physician Associates has once again received the highest possible rating – three blue ribbons -- for quality from the Maine Health Management Coalition (MHMC)’s annual Pathways to Excellence report rating Maine’s best primary care sites.

The blue ribbons represent PrimeCare’s excellence in meeting the highest standards of care as measured by the MHMC, a non-profit coalition of employers representing more than 150,000 employees statewide.

The rating provides independent validation that all of PrimeCare’s practices meet or exceed the national, best-care standards for specific medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions and asthma.

“Participating in independent external measures of quality, like the MHMC’s quality surveys, demonstrates our commitment to excellence in everything we do,” says Michael Albaum, MD, PrimeCare’s medical director. “We want to continually make good on our commitment that our patients are getting the very best care every time they visit a PrimeCare office.”

PrimeCare is proud that all of its primary care sites, including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics, have once again achieved this quality rating. If you would like to read more about MHMC’s quality ratings, please visit
